# L'Étape by Tour de France – Event Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

1. All participants must complete the registration process and provide accurate personal information.
2. Participation is voluntary, and all riders participate at their own risk.
3. Participants must be medically fit to take part in the event.
4. The organizer reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, start times, or event formats due to weather, safety concerns, government regulations, or unforeseen circumstances.
5. All participants must obey traffic rules, event marshals, police officers, and organizer instructions at all times.
6. Wearing an approved cycling helmet is mandatory for all categories throughout the event.
7. The organizer is not responsible for any loss, theft, damage, injury, accident, or death occurring before, during, or after the event.
8. Participants must ensure their bicycles are in safe and roadworthy condition before the start.
9. Aerobars (clip-on or integrated) are strictly prohibited in all event categories.
10. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant whose behavior is unsafe or unsportsmanlike.

To encourage and promote future cycling champions, the Kids Category will be conducted as a **time-based riding event**.
Age Groups & Duration
* 6 to 8 Years – 15 Minutes
* 8 to 12 Years – 30 Minutes

Conditions

* Helmet is mandatory.
* Parent or legal guardian presence is mandatory throughout the event.
* Children must ride within their designated age category.
* The organizer reserves the right to verify age proof if required.
* Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of their child before and after participation.

This category is designed for families and recreational riders to enjoy cycling together.
* Minimum age for children: 12 years and above.
* Men and women of any age may participate.
* Road Bikes, Mountain Bikes (MTB), and Hybrid Bikes are permitted.
* Aerobars are not allowed.
* Helmet is mandatory for all participants.
* This is a non-competitive participation category.
* Riders must follow all route marshals and safety instructions.

* Minimum age for children: 12 years and above.
* Men and women of any age may participate.
* Road Bikes, Mountain Bikes (MTB), and Hybrid Bikes are permitted.
* Aerobars are not allowed.
* Helmet is mandatory.
* Riders must complete the route following all event regulations and marshal instructions.

* Minimum age: 14 years and above.
* Men and women of any age may participate.
* Only Road Bikes and approved racing bicycles are permitted.
* Mountain Bikes (MTB) are not permitted.
* Aerobars are not allowed.
* Helmet is mandatory.
* Official race cutoff time: 6 Hours 30 Minutes.
* Riders failing to meet intermediate cutoff timings or the final cutoff time may be withdrawn from the race for safety reasons.
* Participants must follow race officials, marshals, and organizer instructions at all times.
* Drafting behind motor vehicles or receiving outside assistance is prohibited.

By registering for the event, participants (or parents/guardians in the case of minors) acknowledge and agree that:

* Cycling is a potentially hazardous activity involving risks of injury, disability, or death.
* They voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
* They release and hold harmless the event organizers, sponsors, venue owners, volunteers, officials, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation in the event.
* They grant permission to the organizer to use photographs, videos, and media recordings taken during the event for promotional purposes without compensation.
